It’s engaging and friendly atmosphere is what makes Heidelberg a one of a kind city. Our goal was to design a logo, which not only lives up to this uniqueness, but also would be effortlessly adaptable for the Heidelberg of today without losing touch to its tradition.

The design had to be as versatile as possible, able to be representative of all the different aspects of the city. During it’s development we decided to disregard conventions completely. We realized that it needed more than cliché expressions like “one of a kind city” to define a city’s substance. Instead we undertook an analysis of the city’s elements down to their fundamental features. The project was realized as part of a seminar at the “Hochschule für Gestalung, Mainz”. In collaboration with ⇨ Julian Lehmann.
