Every spring, the Diagonale, transforms Graz into a vibrant centre for Austrian film, offering six days of hand-picked screenings, industry exchange, and creative dialogue, attracting both local audiences and international attention. The visual concept was created by Beton, a graphic design studio based in Vienna. With a clean typographic approach, the focus is on minimalist design, white space and concrete blocks of text. The motion concept combines flexible and fixed width structures, uncontrolled typing and controlled rhythms, as well as cryptic and legible fragments - a system that supports the festival's multifaceted content.
